Our Story
Founded in May 2003 and officially registered as a charity in January 2003, Bolton Solidarity Community Association (BSCA) has been dedicated to creating a strong and inclusive community in Bolton. Our work focuses on three key outcomes:
- Developing skills and confidence to help individuals become independent and make progress.
- Increasing aspiration and opening opportunities that were previously unavailable.
- Building strong communities that reduce inequality and promote integration.
We work collaboratively with the voluntary, public and private sector and we actively promote representation, inclusivity, and diversity within our trustees, staff, and volunteers.
Our work has earned us recognition, including the Queen’s Award for involving refugee and global majority communities in volunteering. We’ve become a model of good practice in Bolton, playing a major role in establishing and nurturing new and emerging communities.
